Great question!

The tight Rotation series is about training a very important, yet often overlooked quality of Torque (rotary) force conversion through the spine and torso (core) muscles.

I feel this is hugely important for every athlete to be able to do without compensation. The more effectively you covert torque forces through your body, the better athlete you will become.

Best regards!

Nick,

Is using the tight rotations in this fashion strictly about training economy and getting some extra bang for your core buck? I'm guessing so, since the tight rotation series isn't supposed to have anything more than a very narrow ROM with the focus on stability.

Just curious, which is why I ask. Either way, this is a quality series of moves, so thank you for sharing them and also for sharing Coach Young's ideas.
