Recapping Alli McKee’s Figure Competition – The Met-Rx NPC Maryland State East Coast Classic

By nick On August 23, 2010 · 15 Comments · In Strength Training
As many of you know, I’m lucky enough to call elite trainer, fitness writer and Figure Competitor -Alli McKee, my girlfriend. I’m also blessed to be her Trainer.

The Happy Couple!

. This past weekend was the culmination of all Alli’s hard training, strict dieting and unwavering dedication to her physique. She competed against some of the finest physiques the east coast has to offer in the Met-Rx NPC Maryland State East Coast Classic. . Alli competed in two categories: The Maryland and the East Coast Qualifier. On stage, Alli looked absolutely amazing! She nailed her posing routine, stayed calm on stage, made great eye contact with the judges and really stood out to the crowd! . With Alli, I’m always a proud boyfriend. But, let me tell you how amazing it make you feel as a trainer and boyfriend, when you hear strangers in the crowd  saying things like “Wow, #18 (Alli’s #) looks incredible!” and “That girl has a great body, she’s going to win” and “Man, what a great back she has”. I only wished Alli could have been in the audience to hear all these comments. But, she was busy on stage kickin ass!

Alli on Stage

. When it was all said and done, Alli took home a trophy in both the events she competed in. .

Alli placed 2nd in the East Coast and 3rd in Maryland. With these top placings, Alli qualified to compete at nationals!

Alli and her two Trophys backstage

. Alli was able to accomplish this while training around two herniated discs. That’s the magic of hard work, dedication and smart workouts using Joint Friendly Strength Training! .

    Congrats Alli!

You looked great! Perhaps you should also consider competing in a natural organization as well. The OCB is great and so is there pro division the IFPA. You’ll find that in natural divisions the people are far less catty are far more helpful.

keep up the great work! And good job with your guidance Nick!

    My best to ya!

    Allie, Nick
Congratulations! I was there on Saturday night and saw the whole thing. Anyone that is not involved in the sport can not possibly imagine the complete dedication that it takes to compete at this level. Keep up the great work.

Congratulations Alli. I’ve seen your video workouts so I know you’re a tough girl, but to be disciplined to eat the way you need to to enter a contest takes a special kind of toughness. Also, I feel it takes a special kind of patients for both of you to have your boyfriend train you :)

Marlo, Alli has competed in the OCB and done quite well…I think she is an IFPA girl in the making! She has a lovely physique, great stage presence, AND she is as sweet and humble as pie. (Gosh knows our sport needs more girls like her!) I, for one, cannot wait to watch her progress and keep kickin’ NATURAL butt! :-) Go, Alli and Nick! Such a pleasure to meet both of you!

Thank you everyone for following along with the training and for taking a moment to send your positive feedback. Training in general and the Figure Shows are something I LOVE to share with Nick. I was also fortunate to have the game planning and support from a phenomenal nutritionist this time around. It really helps when you set up a great support network and incredible brain power. All I have to do is follow along diligently ;-) It is an honor to read all of your posts.

    Thanks again, Alli McKee
