I’ve got a few more tire videos coming your way because there are some very cool and very effective aspects to tire training I’ve yet to cover.

Plus, in my next post, I will be giving you an inside scoop on the exact workout I use to train myself, my athletes and my clients using the tire.
-
This video shows you how to do a Reverse Tire Pull.
-
This is real training footage of myself and my training partner, Mark Simon, getting it done on a sunny and hot Baltimore day.

By the time we shot this, we both were on our last set and our legs felt like they couldn’t even hold us up.

If you want to know how I’m working out, check back because my next post will give you some live footage of my personal upper-body workout.
In my last two posts, I’ve shown you how to use a tire to get a killer leg workout and improve your conditioning. I even showed you how to use a tire, some rope and some handles to perform a prowler style push.
In the below video, I show you how to use physics, yes I said physics, to adjust the resistance load of a single tire.
I promise to keep it simple to understand and easy to use so don’t worry if you forgot everything you learned in 10th grade physics class.
If you only have one tire and need to accommodate multiple strength levels, this video is for you!
Before I get into this tire stuff, I wanted to let you know that I’m working on a huge Blog post.
This post is turning into more of a full fledged training article so its taking me some time to finish it and deliver it to you.
This huge post is primarily a recap of all the TRUTH About the YTWL posts.
That said, this new post will have even more new, yet to be published information.
Also, you need to go to the top of the page and sign up for my newsletter ASAP!
I’m doing an exclusive (only to newsletter subscribers) YTWL Q and A.
These answers will not be posted here on the Blog. So, if your using the YTWL shoulder exercises, sign up at the top of the page now because you need to see this exclusive Q and A!
Big Legs and Big Tires
Here at Performance U, we pride ourselves on being cutting edge!
So, I’m happy to introduce to you, the latest and most high tech training device… a big tire.
Okay, I know that using a tire is not new or cutting edge.
However, it is an extremely effective and fun way to develop lower body strength, increase leg/hip muscle and improve overall work capacity (conditioning).
You may be thinking that I’m going to talk about tire flips.
Wrong!
Personally, I’m not a huge fan of tire flips. I will get into that in another upcoming post.
For now, I’m going to focus on another aspect of tire training.
In this type of tire training you use the tire as a weight sled.
In my next few posts, I’m going to provide you with some really cool and very effctive ways to use a tire.
Get ready to get outside, get more tan, get stronger, get a killer workout and have allot of fun doing it!

My next post will show you how to make a tire BETTER than the Prowler!
One of my favorite subjects to talk about these days is what I call Joint Friendly Training.
Put simply, joint friendly training concepts are exercises that create minimal joint stress but maximize results!
In other words, these are training concepts that folks with common limitations, pain or injury can use to successfully gain muscle, increase strength and improve performance.
Here at Performance U, we are on the cutting edge of developing, testing and utilizing joint friendly training.
Over my next few posts, I will be sharing some of our most effective concepts with you. So keep checking back.
For starters, check out how you can improve your conditioning and get an effective cardio workout with bad knee’s.
